On the 1st of April 1979, ANARDE Foundation was incepted with the objective of uplifting and empowering rural India by acting as a catalyst. ANARDE Foundation has a proven track record of over three and half decades in developing and empowering rural India with the objective of generating and enhancing the income of villagers.
In its first phase, ANARDE implemented projects in five villages in Jamnagar, in Gujarat, India. During the initial 5 years, ANARDE trained farmers with state of the art farming technology. As a catalyst, it helped farmers avail agriculture loans from banks which proved to be a successful model. Subsequently, 50 more villages were included within this model. The model ensured farmers earned sustainably ( over 200-300 INR per day).
In the next phase, ANARDE supported government projects to develop skills for youth. The projects focused on vocational and entrepreneurship workshops for skills such as tailoring, electrical maintenance, plumbing, and carpentry. Biological contaminations lead to water-borne diseases. In 2015, 100000 children died due to diarrhea (WHO Report). We have a proven record in providing biological contamination free clean drinking water to rural areas benefiting villages, schools, colleges, hospitals, community and religious places and social entrepreneurial initiatives.
Low-Cost Sanitation, Housing, and Cattle Shed are our 3 key initiatives. We have implemented 15000 low-cost Sauchalaya units. In Low-Cost Housing, we’ve worked with Habitat for Humanity in implementing housing projects for the backward section of our society.
Financial Inclusion leads to income enhancement &
financial security. By educating regarding benefits of banking system,
we enable people to manage and save their money and
aid them in making the right financial decisions
The projects range from Skill Development, Agriculture Development Programs, Capacity Development Workshops, and Rural Banking. We understand the local issues, assess the project feasibility and sustainability. These projects are implemented with the community and local govt body participation.
